Policies
- Washing: Hand washing is preferred with all NYX+LORE Ceramics. The dishwasher can be rough on your pottery, especially if your piece has gold or mother of pearl luster applied. I personally treat all my pottery like fine china and hand wash with a mild detergent.
- Microwave: Technically your pottery is microwave safe UNLESS your piece has gold. Yes the 22k gold on your pottery is real. Gold is a metal and is NOT safe to microwave. You don't want to burn your house down or ruin your microwave!
- Thermal Shock: Please be careful of thermal shock. You do not want to rapidly heat or cool ceramics. This could lead to cracking and possible injury. Example: Pouring boiling water into a cool mug. Solution: Warm your mug under warm water before pouring super hot liquid in it. Please do not put your ceramics in the freezer, it is not freezer-safe.
- All glazes are food safe unless otherwise noted.
Cancellations
Cancellations cannot be processed once the item has shipped. To ensure that I can successfully process a cancellation, please contact me via nyxandlore@gmail.com and or Instagram at nyxloreceramics and request the cancellation within 6 hours of your purchase.
Shipping Policies
Processing time
I do my best to process and ship1-3 days after placement of order.
Estimated shipping times
North America: 2-7 business days
I'll do my best to meet these shipping estimates, but cannot guarantee them. Actual delivery time will depend on the shipping method you choose. All NYX + LORE products are shipped Priority Mail through USPS and will have a tracking number and insurance unless otherwise noted.
Combined Shipping
I try to combine shipping & refund any overages when possible, if this is something you would like for me to try and do, email me at nyxandlore@gmail.com or message me on Instagram via nyxloreceramics immediately to let me know that you purchased multiple pieces separately and would like me to try and combine shipping. It is not guaranteed that I will combine shipping. I will do this ONLY if it is safe. If I deem it is safe to package items together, then I will refund any shipping overages.
Customs and import taxes
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs.
Return Policy
I do not accept general returns or exchanges.
All of the NYX+LORE pieces are handmade with every attempt to be free of defects, packed with care prior to shipping and relying on safe travels on their journey to you. Immediately upon receipt, please contact me in the event that your NYX+LORE work does not represent this expectation.
Transparency and openness is important to me. Dialogue is important, I promise I'm nice! Don't be afraid to reach out.
PLEASE NOTE: Before a restock, I always preview items in a video in my story on Instagram for you to get a really good look of each piece. In addition, please check all listing photos before purchasing and read the description thoroughly for detailed information on the item. Please remember you are buying handmade, not mass produced items and my aesthetic is whimsical and mostly made by soft slab and occasionally slip cast forms. My functional art is not thrown on a potters wheel, so if you are expecting perfectly symmetrical forms please reconsider before you purchase because I do not accept returns or exchanges!

Blog/Social Media Promoters
I do not send free products for a “review” on your page for your followers. If you like my work, you may purchase it (and review it if you would like). I do not have the inventory to send free pieces but I appreciate the interest in my work and thank you for understanding!
Wholesale
I am completely swamped right now and can not take on wholesale accounts. Due to hand-making all NYX+LORE functional art, as well as handling all marketing, photography, shipping, accounting and book keeping by myself, there just isn't enough hours in the day. I thank you for your interest and hope that one day I will be able to offer this service.
Preorders
Currently I offer no preorders.
Customs, Personalized and Holds
I am NOT accepting custom order requests, reservations for pieces, holds, or a waiting list at this time. What you see in my shop updates is what I have available. Thank you for understanding!
